The whole thing was drawn straight onto a Wacom Cintiq. You might be seeing some little pieces of the faint initial sketch, but that was also drawn in the same way. Confident lines are the key to this sort of drawing, I think. Some people seem to like wobbly, hesitant lines, but for me, they have to be smooth and sharp. It's cool that you picked up on that.
